Use the tool freely. It gives guidance, not advice, and what you produce with it is yours.

What it does

IRF for NGOs compares a problem you describe with a catalogue of uses of blockchain. It returns a verdict and a reason, and often the verdict is no. The scoring follows fixed rules written down in the tool. It does not look anything up about your organisation and it does not learn from your answers.

What it does not do

It gives no legal, financial, regulatory or technical advice. A verdict is a starting point for your own decision. Get professional advice before you spend money or collect people’s data on the strength of it.

It recommends no product and no supplier. The case studies list who has tried what. A listing is no endorsement and earns no points in any verdict.

Your results

Everything the tool produces for you belongs to your organisation. Use it for any purpose. How your answers are handled is on the privacy page.

Tenders

A tender built with the tool is a draft for you to check. Publishing it to the tender board is a separate step under the board’s own terms and privacy notice. Neither the publisher nor the Nordic Blockchain Association takes part in any contract that follows.

No warranty

The tool is free and is provided as it is. It may be wrong or unavailable. The publisher is not liable for decisions made on the strength of a brief or a tender.

Licences

IRF for NGOs is meant as a digital public good. Using it costs nothing, and the Nordic Blockchain Association receives no payment or royalty for it.

The code is under the Apache License 2.0. That covers everything that runs: the JavaScript and PHP of the site, and the scorer and build tools. The text is in LICENSE.

The content is under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International, called CC BY 4.0. That covers the questions, the use case catalogue, the scoring maps and routing rules, the brief and tender templates, the text of the pack and of the pages, and the documents in the repository. A short plain-English note is in LICENSE-CONTENT.md.

Both licences let you use, copy, change and share the work, including in paid work. Credit it with this line.

The case studies page names real organisations as precedents only. Their names stay theirs.

A brief or a tender you make with the tool is your own. The licences place no condition on it, and it needs no attribution.
